Hi there

I’m Sarah Matthews, often called Berny, and I’m a Senior Designer at Aardman Animations, where I have been working for 17 years. I've been lucky enough to work on Bafta-award-winning projects, and for many exciting clients, such as the BBC, the Tate Museum, Studio Canal and the RHS.

I specialise in graphic design, illustration, interactive UI & UX design, branding and creative direction.

I’ve had the pleasure of being a Gromit Unleashed, Shaun in the City, and Morph’s Epic Art Adventure artist, painting large scale sculptures around the cities of Bristol and London.

I graduated from the University of Portsmouth in 2009 with a First Class BA Hons in Graphic Design, and a Fellowship to the Royal Society of Arts. Shortly after, I moved to lovely Bristol and started working at Aardman.
